Welcome to The UK based Swinging podcast brought to you by 'Biproperswingers'. It is our hope to give a very honest insight into the swinging world within the UK. Our names are Paul and Charlotte and we are pretty well known on the scene. If you’re swingers I bet you can find us. With a combined time on the swinging scene of around 21 years we have a substantial amount of experience and knowledge of how it all really works. Our hope is to dispel some of the myths about the lifestyle and help spread the good experiences we all have had. We feel society as a whole doesn't really know that much about this very special, hedonistic community and we hope to enlighten a lot of minds about what it truly is all about! Real current social attitudes towards sex and the scene itself, we want to spread awareness with the aim of educating at the same time. Real interviews with other genuine swingers and those to who have transitioned into and out of the lifestyle. We'll take you on a very special journey inside the clubs around the country and the adult industry providers to share what is really out there including that of the usually unspoken fetish scene. We'll give honest and un-bias reviews of the scene, from the sex toys, shops to holidays. We'll do our upmost to provide the best advice for people who are curious and want to try it, but sadly won't or can’t, due to the fear of being judged. We were both once newbies and still occasionally get nervous. As we don't want to give a prejudiced perspective on anything we discuss, we will very openly examine the up's and downs, as well as the positives and negatives. We hope that the knowledge we've gained through our own personal experiences within the community; be it the bad ones or the out of this world amazing ones, we want to enable people to open their minds instead of closing them off. Exploring a wide range of different topic's like 'what is a unicorn?', 'The sheer level of respect you get in the clubs', 'The power is usually within the hands of the woman', and many, many more. Podcast 12 - The alternative way of looking at intergenerational conflict, and of course the Alternative Awards 2025 and the May Vanilla Alterative Festival.
A catch-up after only four and a half months?! That's crazy for the pair of us; but life has really calmed down... so onwards a nd upwards! And if you guys knew the sheer amount of self-control it took us for not end up spilling the beans on what happened at the epic Swingathon 2025; oh well - You would be even more impressed than what Paul managed to do in front of 250 (ish) people at the amazing May FOF at the Vanilla Alternative. (My word, did he steal the show; the greatest of showmen; hehe)

The Alternative Awards were such a positive experience, which really incorporated all the alternative lifestyles within the categories, which really did show just how amazing the lifestyler's, kink, adult workers/ models are at properly organising /uniting. The more we can keep that going, the risk of its astounding progress being hindered will (hopefully) always be kept to a minimum. What's even more impressive is they've already started to take nominations for next year's awards.

The quote that Charlotte read out at the very start of the episode, the one that is on the alternative awards website, which encapsulated just how amazing the awards are for the alternative communities, that was Baby K. This amazing human is an invaluable member of the adult lifestyle and kink communities; she's an ALT model too; just beautiful through and through! She NOT just a lifestyle advisor, she's also a coach and an avid advocate for alternative communities, and if you ever have the pleasure to meet her/ spend time with her, you will see just how passionate she is about our beautiful swinging community! Now back to the long arm of the law, which currently echoes through our social world at the moment, regarding the banning of certain kinks and the online- safety bill, which means that it's illegal for under-18s to access porn. The monopoly of the adult industry is no doubt a possible reason for this, but is it just about protecting the children? Or does it go deeper? Listen on to mostly Charlotte's perspective on this very controversial subject. (It's important to note that while this very theoretical framework of a free market can be applied to the pornography industry, the real-world applications are not simple). They go beyond being complex. But it undoubtedly raises various ethical and social considerations, such as the potential for worker exploitation, the concentration of market power in a few companies, and the impact of data collection. So what is it?! We don't have the answers but we do have a perspective - that maybe not many of you will agree with. Or you may feel it's morally wrong. But you have just as much right to feel offended, the same way we have rights to free speech; so please do feel free to contact us! There is some amazing aspects of the online safety act, so it's a positive step.
